Contact Insurance Company to File a Claim
Once a Savvy Roofing Specialist inspects your property and declares there is enough damage to file a claim, contact your insurance company and schedule an adjuster from the insurance company to come out to your home. Let them know Savvy Roofing Solutions has completed an inspection of your property and believes there is enough damage to file a claim. It is important to contact your Savvy Roofing Specialist and let them know when the adjuster is scheduled to come out so they can meet the adjuster to ensure adequate compensation for your roof.
You Will Receive a Check From Your Insurance Company
Your insurance company will mail you a check for the value of damage done to your property. It will also be accompanied by additional claim paperwork. Make a copy of this paperwork for your records and have your Savvy Roofing Specialist come get the paperwork sent to you by the insurance company. If the check issued by the insurance company is made out to both the homeowner and mortgage company, overnight the check to your mortgage company to have it endorsed. Save your receipt so we can reimburse the cost. Call us if the insurance company needs any additional information.
Savvy Roofing Specialist Inspection
Upon receiving the paperwork issued by your insurance company, your Savvy Roofing Specialist will complete an inspection in comparison to the insurance companies damage estimate. This inspection will include the properties roof, siding, windows, screens, and paint. Once our inspection is complete, we will send our estimate to the insurance company to negotiate the claim settlement on the homeowners behalf.
Roof Installation and Repairs
Once the settlement is agreed upon, Savvy Roofing Solutions will contact you to give you the scheduled date of the roofs installation along with delivery time frame of the materials. The materials may be loaded onto the roof or on the ground of the property in advance to the date of installation. If possible, please look at the materials and contact your Savvy Roofing Specialist if anything does not look correct, specifically the color of the roof material. Upon delivery of the material, your first payment is due to Savvy Roofing Solutions.
Once the job is complete, a Savvy Roofing Specialist will complete an extensive 20-point inspection of the roof installation and any other repairs. Anything not up to our high standards will be promptly fixed. After our Specialist is satisfied, Savvy Roofing will schedule a code inspection by the city or county of your property. Upon approval of the roof installation, Savvy Roofing will submit a final invoice to the insurance company accompanied by the Approved Code Inspection paperwork.
Second Check From Insurance Company
After the insurance company processes the final paperwork, they will send you a second check called a depreciation check. Let Savvy Roofing know when this depreciation check has arrived at your home. This check is due to Savvy Roofing Solutions within 3 days of receipt.
